Reproductive Medicine

If you have fertility challenges or if you haven’t been able to get pregnant after trying for a year or more, it doesn’t mean that pregnancy is not an option for you. In many cases, couples are successful conceiving during their second year of active trying. Our board-certified reproductive medicine providers can help you throughout the process, providing you with advice on best practices, as well as medical treatments that could potentially help.

What are some of the causes of fertility problems?

There are many different issues that could cause trouble for a couple trying to conceive. A reproductive endocrinologist, or fertility doctor, will check to see if the woman may have problems with her uterus or her fallopian tubes. They’ll perform tests on her ability to ovulate or release an egg. For men, a fertility clinic will check to see if there are issues with his sperm count.

What are some reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatments available?

We completely understand how overwhelming it can seem that you are having issues with family building. Reproductive endocrinology is a medical specialty in medicine that addresses hormonal functioning as it relates to reproduction and infertility.

At OB/GYN Associates of Lancaster, our board-certified providers will help you understand the available fertility treatments, like In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and egg freezing. Our compassionate, personalized care will walk you through the options available to help you start or build your family.

Our providers are experts in diagnosing potential fertility problems and then guiding our patients through treatment options. By creating a personalized treatment plan, we can help you increase your chance of a successful pregnancy.

What is the process involved in reproductive medicine?

After a consultation, the first step in the process is to conduct infertility testing to determine the cause of the trouble. Once that’s established, we can recommend a course of treatment that will help you achieve your family goals.

We understand that fertility problems can cause a lot of strain and stress for a couple. But by working together, with our doctors, to determine the root of the issue, we can help you increase your chances of getting pregnant.

If you are having trouble getting pregnant, please contact our office via phone, email, or schedule an appointment online.
